FUWUKARI ACADEMIC PLANNING UNIT
The
Academic Planning Unit in Federal University Wukari was established to promote
and maintain academic excellence through orderly development and reviewing of
Academic Brief, Academic Programme Planning, Quality Assurance and Resource
Planning. Specifically, the following are the core functions of the Unit:
- Guiding and monitoring the University’s activities in accordance with its vision, mission and goals
 - Preparation of Strategic Plan and ensuring University’s compliance with the provisions of the plan in its implementation
 - Preparation, implementation and general review of Academic Brief
 - Continuous evaluation of academic programmes, rationalization of courses, merging/splitting of departments/units when necessary
 - Participating in University’s curriculum and programme review and ensuring that Federal University Wukari complies with procedures and guidelines on new programme development as stipulated by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and other regulatory bodies or agencies
 - Coordination of accreditation and re-accreditation of academic programmes and ensuring adherence to NUC Minimum Academic Standards
 - Appraisal and processing of requests for affiliation from tertiary institutions locally and globally
 - Preparation, computerization and publication of data on students admission, enrollment projections and determination of Full–Time Equivalent (FTE)
