HOW TO SHARE/TRANSFER DATA MEGABYTES(MB) ON MTN

HOW TO TRANSFER DATA BUNDLE ON MTN-STEP 1

Now, Send "Reg" through text (sms) to 131. The system will immediately respond by sending you a message that contains the following:


Y'ello, you have successfully registered your
MTN Shared Data Bundle your default pin is 0000. Kindly change pin by texting
'CHANGE OLD?PIN NEW?PIN NEW?PIN' to 131.

You are by this notice suppose to follow the instruction and change your pin for instance: 

Change 0000 1312 1312 and send it to 131.

Note: 0000 is the MTN PIN default PIN and you are not allowed to transact with it. To this end you are expected to change the PIN before you will be allowed to proceed. 

Note: 1312 is used as an example, it is not mandatory. Choose your PIN and make sure you can remember it when situation demands.

HOW TO TRANSFER MEGABYTES (MB) ON MTN - STEP 2

You can now transfer the MB from your MTN sim to another MTN subscribers line with the below tips:

GIFT()number()amount of MB()pin 

Note that this symbol "()" stands for space

Transfer Example will look thus:  
GIFT 08031234567 10 1212 

Finally, send to 131 via text message.


Note that for every data (MB) you transfer, MTN will deduct it from you. This implies that if you transfer say 20 MB to another subscriber, MTN will automagically cut #100 from your balance. So while using MTN DATA TRANSFER, use it wisely.
